ABOUT US
The Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD) at Old Parliament House is a modern museum located inside
a heritage-listed building that was once home to Australia's national parliament (1927 to 1988).
True to our building's original brief, we provide a 'people's place', where big ideas are explored.
We share the story of Australia's democracy through a variety of exhibitions, events and education programs.
Additionally, our rich online content aids to increase understanding of the nation's social and political history.

POSITION DETAILS
The Finance and Procurement team is responsible for the financial management of the agency and workscollaboratively with all teams across the agency.
OPH is a Corporate Commonwealth Entity (CCE) and is engaged in a dynamic project and procurementprogram as it approaches its Centenar in 2027. This encompasses a wide variety of procurement and contractmanagement activities including: significant capital projects, curatorial, exhibition and design services;procurement in ICT and digital; education initiatives and programming; along with management and advisoryservices.
As Procurement Officer you would advise OPH Executive and project teams on procurement issues inaccordance with the Commonwealth procurement framework. An understanding of Commonwealthprocurement policy for a Corporate Commonwealth Entity is desirable.
The team is committed to providing excellent client focused services. The successful applicant will need todemonstrate technical knowledge and sound judgement, and the capacity to improve procurement andcontract management capability across MoAD.

• Demonstrated understanding of the Commonwealth procurement framework - the CommonwealthProcurement Rules, Commonwealth Contracting Suite and related legislation and guidance, andtransferability of expertise to the OPH operating environment and organisational culture.
• Demonstrated experience in offering procurement and contract management advice and support, andthe capacity uplift MoAD teams' procurement and contract management capabilities.
• Capacity to build and maintain productive relations with internal and external stakeholders, including inorder to manage changes in Commonwealth Procurement requirements and trends, e.g. relation toprobity, contingent liabilities and emergent procurement-related risk management issues.
• Demonstrated experience in managing procurement and contract reporting and publishing such asAustender, the Dynamic Sourcing for Panels (DS4P) system and the Senato Order Reporting for EntityContracts
• Other ad hoc duties as directed by the Chief Finance Officer.
KEY ATTRIBUTES - To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
• Well-developed research and analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in the Commonwealth procurement lifecycle and contract management, including indeveloping policy and procedural guidance and associated systems "How To" systems and adhering tomandatory reporting requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with the capacity to interact effectively withboth internal and external stakeholders at MoAD.
• Ability to prioritise competing tasks and establish clear work plans and timeframes.
• Ability to work as part of a team, including capacity to cover leave and absences.
