ABOUT THE JOB: Our clients, Communications Planning and Public Diplomacy Branch, are seeking to engage a contractor as a Procurement Officer. This position requires an in-depth understanding of relevant Australian Government legislation and policies relating to financial management, tenders, procurement, and mechanisms for the disbursement of funds. Key duties include but not limited to: Key Duties Run high-risk complex procurement processes in compliance with Australian Government legislation and policies such as the PGPA Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules, while coordinating with internal stakeholders, including corporate procurement team. Draft complex statements of requirements, procurement documentation, purchase orders, evaluation outcomes, delegate approval documentation, and contract management plans. Draft Grant Guidelines, oversee financial processes, and prepare letters of agreement and Grant Schedules. Provide accurate advice to Directors, Senior Executives, and key internal stakeholders regarding procurements and relevant policies/procedures. Deliver quality outcomes under tight timelines, managing multiple competing priorities. Monitor and manage procurement activities, providing advice and support for basic to complex procurement processes, including tender management, budget forecasting and ongoing contract management. Prepare procurement approval documentation, including requests for Tender, Approvals to Approach the Market, Evaluation Outcomes, and contract management plans. THE SUCCESFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Knowledge of procurement of services and grants by the Australian Government overseas. Minimum two years' experience working within Government Procurement and strong knowledge of procurement from panels and associated contract management and reporting processes. Experience providing oversight of public sector procurement activities. Ability to undertake analysis of suppliers, markets, products, and service categories to inform procurement planning. Ability to assist in the oversight of contracts administration activities and monitoring of contract management plans. Interested?
