About this opportunity The NACC has a Procurement Officer available for immediate filling in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney.
A merit list will be established to fill vacancies arising in the next 18 months.
About the role The Senior Procurement Officer will report to the Assistant Director, Procurement and will work within a small team providing procurement services, ensuring the NACC meets the requirements under the Commonwealth Procurement Framework, and working with and supporting business areas to meet their required outcomes and contractual obligations.
Key activities The successful candidate will work under broad direction of the Assistant Director, Procurement to: Provide accurate procurement and contracting advice and support across the NACC, including effective participation in all stages of procurement processes.
Maintain consistency and compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Framework, Policy, and Rules.
Assist in developing, managing, and maintaining annual procurement plans and be responsible for quality assurance.
Ensure the NACC meets Commonwealth Procurement Framework requirements, including compliance and associated reporting.
Proactively engage with internal stakeholders on procurement topics and provide support in developing and disseminating internal procurement policies.
Assist with building procurement and contracting capability across the NACC.
Actively contribute to continuous improvement such as ongoing development and maintenance of systems, and procurement/contracting processes and tools.
Manage competing deadlines to achieve results and deliver high quality outcomes.
Build and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders.
The NACC is a small agency.
In addition to these activities, from time to time you may be asked to undertake tasks that are outside your usual span of duties but that are within the range of your capabilities.

Eligibility Employment with the NACC is subject to the following conditions: Citizenship – applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
Security clearance – this is a Designated Security Assessment Position.
The occupant of this position will be required to undergo and maintain a security clearance to Negative Vetting 1.
Suitability assessment - the NACC must be satisfied that successful applicants are of suitable character.
They must undergo a rigorous pre-employment suitability screening process that can be intrusive in nature including (but is not limited to) detailed background, character, employment, police and financial checks.
Probation - a probation period will apply to a new ongoing engagement in the Australian Public Service.
