AO4 Procurement Officer ASAP Start 3 months + possible extension $58.02 + super per hour Queensland State Government Cannon Hill The Role Join this large QLD Government Department, for an initial 3-month contract.
In this role your duties will include: Ordering materials and processing a range of purchase orders, work orders, field release orders for goods and services required for regional delivery.
Preparing and calling of tenders for a variety of categories involving construction, maintenance, consulting and upgrade activities, including evaluation and regulatory techniques.
Providing guidance and assistance to regional staff in Procurement, purchasing and associated policies.
Implementing local procurement practices and processes in accordance with the Queensland Procurement Policy and contributing to reduced material and subcontractor costs.
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to contribute to the development and implementation of regional Standing Offer Agreements and medium and major building contracts within regional areas.
Undertaking operational procurement activities including investigating problems and leading special projects as required.
You The successful candidate will have: Prior experience in procurement/ purchasing Proficient MS Office Suite skills, including Excel Supplier Panel Management experience Standing Offer Arrangement knowledge/understanding Some tendering experience would be beneficial High attention to detail with the ability to and identify and address potential issues before they escalate Excellent communication skills Apply To be considered for this position, please apply below with your CV and cover letter in Microsoft word format.
