Procurement Officer - $60-$70 Per Hour | Nsw - Sydney

Osborne Richardson is recruiting an experienced Procurement Officer for our Local Council client in Sydney's west.
This position plays a critical role in the procurement process, handling tenders and quotations from preparation through to contract execution.
Job Title: Procurement Officer Location: Sydney's West Contract Duration: Through to the end of February 2025 Key Responsibilities: - Manage tenders and quotations, guiding them through all phases.
- Prepare and issue procurement documentation with attention to detail.
- Oversee the preparation and execution of contracts, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and Council guidelines.
Essential Qualifications: - Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive job-related experience.
- Experience in purchasing and other procurement management functions.
Desirable Qualifications: - Experience in government tendering and understanding contract management requirements.
- Experience in establishing contractor performance and managing contract performance.
- Working knowledge of SAP, particularly the contract management module.
- Knowledge of NSW Local and State Government contracts, policies, and regulations.
- Familiarity with the NSW Department of Commerce e-tendering system/software.
- Class C driver's licence.
