In this role, you'll: Join a team that works closely with our Project and Branch stakeholders with the primary purpose of driving procurement with cross-functional teams during each stage of Development and Delivery of Projects. Lead, manage and support a talented team of procurement staff, developing capabilities and performance to deliver procurement activities within identified procurement policies, processes, and procedures and governance frameworks. Work in a matrix environment undertaking business needs assessment, supply market analysis, and commercial risk assessments, formulating recommendations and providing advice on procurement planning and sourcing decisions. Manage the Procurement process across the Procurement lifecycle from Procurement Strategy stage to Contract execution with input and engagement from Procurement support staff and cross-functional teams. Have excellent communication skills and interact with the market in a professional manner when conducting pre-tender Meetings, supplier debriefs, and other interactions with external parties. Utilize attention to detail along with excellent record keeping and document management skills with a background and understanding of working with procurement reporting systems. The team is based across three sites: Macquarie Park, Parramatta, and Sydney city.
This role is office-based 2-3 days per week with WFH options for the other two days.
About you: Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and collaboration experience with the ability to influence procurement operations and functions with internal clients. Seasoned Procurement Manager with demonstrated experience and proven capability in Procurement related disciplines and managing staff in a similar environment. Experienced (Essential) in leading, coaching, mentoring, and guiding teams and individuals to create great outcomes for the people of NSW. A background within construction/infrastructure would be highly regarded. A proven ability to work to tight deadlines while managing multiple stakeholders, their expectations, and providing regular updates and reports.
