Varied backgrounds including capital projects (utilities, mining, oil and gas) and heavy industry manufacturing will also be considered. Candidates who are Australian citizens are essential.Key responsibilitiesStrategic procurement across multiple categories and multiple programsManagement of existing preferred suppliers, ensuring mutually beneficial relationships and driving added value for the organisation and its customersAnalysis and reporting of supplier performance, supply chain risks and procurement activities to identify long term opportunities for improvement and savingsEnsuring best practice is always followed in relation to procurement activities, while achieving procurement outcomesManaging multiple projects and deadlines within a challenging supplier market, while maintaining a customer focus and managing risk appropriatelySelection CriteriaMinimum 5 years' experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing or supply chainRelevant Tertiary qualifications or CIPS accreditationYou will be passionate about achieving procurement outcomes and eager to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve project deadlinesThis is a permanent, full time position with an option to work a 9 day fortnight, and added flexibility of hybrid work from home options.
