The purpose of the Procurement Manager is to lead and manage the procurement function for the Gallery Group.
This role will develop and implement strategies that align with the Group's goals and objectives, fostering strong supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement in procurement processes.
Your role will analyse market trends, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Additionally, the Procurement Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project needs and contribute to overall company objectives.Key Responsibilities:Establish, develop and implement procurement strategies including supplier agreements, terms, and conditions.Establish and develop policies for procurement activities.Lead supplier and subcontractor negotiations, including pricing, agreements, and defining construction methodology and scope of works.Manage standard inclusion lists and standard upgrades for colours and product selections in collaboration with Sales/Admin teams.Develop and maintain supplier and subcontractor profiles, including capacities, capabilities, and allocation for efficient project planning.Manage the scopes of work for each trade and supplier and ensure they are constantly updated.Identify and mitigate risks within procurement and contracting activities while ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.Analyse spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and integrate procurement with sales to enhance service offerings.Streamline systems and processes to improve organisational efficiency and reduce costs.Manage supplier contracts, partnerships, and tender processes for large supply arrangements.Review and refine processes, investigate errors, and problem-solve to optimise procurement operations.Stay up to date with local market materials and trends.Qualifications and Skills:Experience in procurement and/or estimation within the construction industry.Demonstrated ability to negotiate and establish favourable supplier and subcontractor agreements.Strong knowledge of construction materials, pricing, and market trends.Proven track record in cost management, budgeting, and delivering projects within set financial targets.Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyse data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make informed decisions.Excellent understanding of procurement strategies, contract management, and compliance with relevant regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, subcontractors.Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in procurement processes.Proactive and strategic approach to problem-solving, able to identify and mitigate risks in procurement and contracting activities.Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field preferred but not essential.Knowledge of construction industry regulations and compliance requirements.Relevant certification in procurement or supply chain management.Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.What We Offer:Gallery Group fosters a vibrant and energetic team environment, with high staff morale.
