The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and collaborative Procurement Manager to lead and shape our supply chain and drive operational excellence as a respected regional healthcare leader.
The successful candidate will lead a dedicated Supply team, inspiring them to support St Andrews Toowoomba Hospital's commitment to exceptional service and care for our patients and community.

As the Procurement Manager, you'll be instrumental in aligning procurement practices with the hospital's strategic vision, working closely with key stakeholders to support seamless operations and high-quality patient care at the best possible cost.
This is a hands-on role where you will actively manage the supply chain, implement best practices, and drive positive change across the hospital.

About YOU:
To succeed in this role, you will bring robust management experience with exceptional negotiation and contract management skills and will be looking for a role that leverages your strategic and operational vision.
Comprehensive knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.Strong ability to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including tenders, supplier negotiations, and evaluations.Skilled in applying Supplier Relationship Management strategies for ongoing improvement and innovation.Highly experienced in drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and managing contracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.Fully capable of extracting and analysing relevant data to identify opportunity.Professional team-oriented mindset with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.Proven change management skills, focused on lean, efficient supply chain processes.Comprehensive Healthcare stakeholder management experience. Your key responsibilities: Develop a pipeline of initiatives and clear timeline for all procurement activities, aligned with key stakeholders.Foster strong supplier partnerships, negotiate favourable terms, and establish a preferred vendor network.Collaborate with clinical teams to standardise product choices, enhancing purchasing efficiency and reducing variability.Secure long-term, cost-effective contracts for critical high-cost items, mitigating the impact of price fluctuations.Develop and implement robust systems to minimise waste, optimise stock usage, and track expiration dates effectively.Utilise data analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, streamline supplier choices, and optimize procurement volumes for maximum efficiency.Prioritise suppliers who offer the best combination of quality, cost, and service, reducing total ownership costs while maximizing value.
