Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving value and efficiency? As the Procurement Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and embedding a procurement strategy that delivers long-term benefits across Mission Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to lead transformational change and optimise procurement and fleet operations for teams nationwide.
In this role, you'll apply your expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and relationship management to influence organisational culture and create seamless integration across systems and processes. With a consultative mindset and a strong grasp of embedding change and implementation, you'll empower the organisation to operate more effectively and efficiently, ensuring teams have what they need to serve communities across Australia.

Your key responsibilities will be to: Develop and implement the annual procurement business plan and policies, ensuring compliance and managing procurement risk while leading a team. Design efficient sourcing processes for major spend categories and manage preferred supplier arrangements for key contracts. Oversee supplier research and negotiations, proactively seeking new supplier relationships based on market trends. Manage procurement nationally, including the supply chain, and fleet contracts, conducting monthly reviews and providing insights to senior stakeholders. Train business leaders on procurement policies and tools, reporting progress to governance forums and managing organizational change impacts. Monitor budgets and savings, facilitating cross-team collaboration to identify procurement improvements. Requirements for Success Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, and purchasing. Strong demonstrated capability in contract negotiation and tender preparation and evaluation processes. Proven leadership experience, including direct line management and the ability to manage virtual teams effectively. Excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to manage via influence in a matrix environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics, facilitate workshops, and present information clearly to senior stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, manage complex supplier relationships, and navigate ambiguity effectively. Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
