The Opportunity:   UGL Utilities division is seeking an experienced Procurement and Logistics Officer for a Power Station project based in the Hunter Valley region.
This is a 6 month fixed-term, full time contract with a potential to extend.
The Project:   Located in the small suburb of Loxford in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, approximately three km north of the town of Kurri Kurri, and approximately 35 km west of Newcastle and 125 km north of Sydney.
The Hunter Power Station Project is expected to have approximately 660 megawatts and will be generated via two heavy-duty open cycle gas turbines, and the turbines functionality will be incorporated into the facility.
Operations is considered a backup function in the case that gas supply to the site is not available, this will connect into the existing electricity transmission, infrastructure is located near the Site.
Some key responsibilities of this role will include:   ·       Ensure safe working conditions for all individuals by adhering to safety procedures, using personal protective equipment, reporting hazards, and contributing to safety planning and assessments ·       Actively participate in safety meetings, training, and reporting while supporting the development of safety-related documentation for reports and proposals.
·       Coordinate, track, and process invoices using SAP and VIMS, ensuring approvals, variance resolution, and timely payment.
·       Assist managers and the Finance & Commercial Team with invoice approvals, dispatch, and ad hoc tasks to maintain efficient project support.
·       Maintain a professional attitude and appearance, adhere to UGL systems and standards, and ensure a well-organised, safe workspace.
·       Actively participate in inductions, training, and development programs while monitoring and enhancing site-specific systems and procedures to align with best practices.
