We are currently seeking the experience of a Procurement Lead to join the RUC Procurement team on the Tanami project in the NT on a 15:13 roster. In this role you will manage the day-to-day operational activities of the centralised purchasing functions. The Procurement Lead is responsible for developing purchasing strategies in support of the Procurement Manager, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities. Core responsibilities: Working with business operations to align the procurement strategy with the business strategy Developing and implementing purchasing strategies. Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising purchasing team, and allocating tasks. Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation. Work closely with the Category Specialist to optimize value and ensure contract rates are being met Engaging the Centre of Excellence to standardize and optimize processes, procedures, systems and practices; and Driving Continuous Improvement and Supplier Integration Champion a culture of efficient procurement and value generation Create and manage relationships with key suppliers Centralise procurement and maintain our preferred supplier database Assist with the procurement process across multiple projects Ensure compliance with Government & social procurement guidelines Assess quotes and provide tender comparisons and weightings for input into preferred supplier selection process Support the business with continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives Requirements: 3-5 years' experience in a purchasing environment Experience developing operations strategies and providing input to short- and long-term business planning processes Construction industry experience, preferably with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 company Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Proven ability to communicate complex issues with clarity and ease Experience using Pronto Rapport building skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels WA Manual C Class Driver's licence Benefits of Working with RUC Salary Sacrifice towards super Super paid on All Hours worked Income Protection Insurance with no exclusions or out-of-work recreational activities Generous long service incentive program Applications are welcome from candidates that want to be a part of an organisation that values safety awareness and appropriate workplace behaviours.At RUC, you are not just a number, you are a part of a supportive team with opportunities for progression and development extending throughout the globe.
