About the Role The Procurement lead sits within Maintenance Operations, Transport Services and is responsible for procuring services to deliver a large complex road maintenance program, including procurement of design and project management services, maximising value for money.
The Procurement Lead will provide practical advice on procurement and ensure compliance with the Department's procurement policies.
Position Outcomes / Accountabilities Effectively plans procurement to maximise value for money, ensuring timely delivery of services, and making best use of limited resources. Effectively and efficiently provides procurement services supporting the delivery of a large, complex road maintenance program. Provides assurance of the procurement program in line with the Department's standards and policies. Enhances the team's capability to improve the quality and timeliness of procurement. Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations. Key Selection Criteria To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will understand the client's or stakeholders' context to implement continuous improvement systems, foster team innovation, and analyse data to enhance work quality.
They will translate strategies into actionable projects with clear governance to manage risks effectively, while also focusing on operational efficiency and holding external vendors accountable.
Additionally, they will develop team capabilities through coaching and feedback, while negotiating and influencing stakeholders for successful outcomes.
