About the roleThe Procurement Lead is a pivotal role within the procurement function, responsible for overseeing and optimising the procurement activities related to supplier spend. This role requires a strategic mindset, high-level negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of cost-saving opportunities across various procurement indirect categories.
Day to day you will Develop a comprehensive and data led procurement strategy in consultation with the Head of Property and Procurement Update and administer the procurement policy to ensure that procurement processes are efficient, effective and ethical Conduct strategic sourcing projects such as supplier tenders, negotiations or requests for information Evaluate and manage supplier relationships to reduce cost, improve quality and enhance compliance Oversee procure to pay processes to ensure stakeholders adhere to policy requirements and deliver improvement initiatives Engage internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects, manage compliance and build productive supplier relationships About you You are experienced in leading category teams including a range of procurement resources and projects to ensure outcomes are delivered You have well developed skills in category management including development of category strategies, sourcing and supplier management Proficient in analysing large data sets, both quantitative and qualitative to assess procurement opportunities and deliver projects. You have proven ability to successfully develop and deliver effective negotiation strategies to deliver long term successful supplier relationships Demonstrated experience in stakeholder mapping and engagement, including how to influence at all levels of the organisation Benefits that act for you, while you act for humanity Financial wellbeing: In addition to your salary, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
