Procurement Excellence Lead

**What's the role?
** We're seeking a skilled **Procurement Excellence Lead** to join our dynamic procurement team in Sydney.
Reporting to the General Manager of Procurement, you will lead strategic procurement initiatives, optimise processes, and drive operational excellence while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation, collaborating closely with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
You will be responsible for leading and embedding transformation projects, developing & deploying processes & systems, and proactively managing governance & compliance across the function.
**Key Responsibilities:** + Lead the development, implementation, and improvement of procurement processes, manuals, and procedures.
+ Ensure comprehensive documentation and retention for the procurement community.
+ Responsible for all reporting activities on procurement performance & initiatives.
+ Support the General Manager Procurement in identifying key risks linked to project delays, and / or communicate gaps.
+ Act as the go-to expert for procurement when new systems and tools are introduced, ensuring seamless integration and use across all business units.
+ Ensure good maintenance of tools for operational reporting, including spend analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
+ Oversee the development and effective use of master data processes.
+ Contribute to special procurement projects such as (but not limited to) Scope 3 emissions reporting , ensuring efficient processes and successful implementation of new activities.
+ Lead change management initiatives, providing training and communication to drive process improvement.
+ Monitor and enforce compliance with procurement processes across all global locations.
+ Facilitate the Procurement Governance review meetings **Who are you?
** + **A team playe** **r** who has proven experience in category management within the properties and facilities management domain.
+ **Experience in procurement transformation** : Demonstrable experience of leading or co-leading Procurement transformation activity (preferably in an immature or greenfield environment).
+ **Change champion** : Demonstrable project and/or change management skills & capabilities.
+ **Experienced in spend reporting and analysis** + **Procurement experience** is a must + **Embrace a Data-Driven Approach:** Utilise strong analytical skills to inform decision-making and optimise performance.
+ **Challenge the Status Quo:** Foster innovation and continuous improvement by challenging conventional thinking and processes.
+ **Build Strong Relationships:** Effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, building trust and influencing outcomes.
+ **Drive Exceptional Results:** Demonstrate a passion for delivering outstanding results and exceeding expectations.
+ membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply **(MCIPS holder)** would be a plus.
