Position Overview Reporting to the Head of Contracts & Procurement, the Procurement Excellence Lead will lead strategic procurement initiatives, optimise processes, and drive operational excellence while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to achieve business objectives and be responsible for leading and embedding transformation projects, developing & deploying processes & systems, and proactively managing governance & compliance across the function. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months.
Key Responsibilities Framework Leadership: Lead the design and enhancement of our procurement framework ensuring it aligns with best practices and organisational goals.Performance Reporting: Oversee procurement reporting, focusing on performance metrics and analytics to drive informed decision-making.Operational Tool Management: Maintain and optimise tools for operational reporting, including spend analysis and key performance indicators to ensure effective tracking of procurement activities.System Integration: Act as the primary point of contact within procurement for the introduction of new systems and tools, ensuring seamless integration and utilisation across all business units. Knowledge of SAP, Supplier Portal, and Enterprise Contract Management is well regarded.Change Management: Lead change management initiatives, providing training and communication to drive process improvement and foster a culture of excellence.Master Data Oversight: Oversee the development and effective use of master data processes to ensure integrity.Project Contribution: Contribute to special procurement projects such as Sustainability reporting, Modern Slavery, and Scope 3 emissions, ensuring efficient processes and successful implementation of new activities.Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and enforce adherence to procurement processes and governance to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with organisational standards including sustainability and ethical procurement practices.About You This role would suit a proactive and hard-working individual with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to deliver outcomes within defined timeframes. Developing collaborative and positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders will be a key attribute of the successful applicant.
In addition, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Law, Engineering, business, or a related field preferred.At least 5 years' experience in the development of Procurement frameworks.Experience in ERP and/or Contract Management system tools highly desirable (SAP 4Hanna).Excellent change management, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strategic mindset with a focus on achieving organisational objectives.Experience in spend reporting and analysis.Experience working in the Oil & Gas industry would be desirable.What's in it for you?
