As our business is growing, we are looking for a Procurement Coordinator.
About the role: The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the acquisition of goods and services for the company, with a focus on fabrication and mining sectors. This role includes ensuring that all purchases are cost-effective, of high quality, and meet the specific requirements of these industries.
The Procurement Coordinator will coordinate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and maintain accurate records of all transactions related to fabrication and mining equipment and supplies.
Your responsibilities include: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers. Evaluate performance and manage agreements. Conduct market research for new suppliers. Procurement Process: Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery. Ensure compliance with company policies. Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements. Negotiation: Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing. Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels. Coordinate with inventory control to order supplies as needed. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate procurement records and contracts. Prepare reports on activities, costs, and performance. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to legal and company standards. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks. Work with finance, operations, and logistics departments. Provide support and guidance on procurement issues. About you: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience. 2-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management. Fabrication and mining experience desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software (MYOB desirable). Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
