Job Description The Opportunity This role leads the Procurement Contracts Team at Arc, including contracting and strategic procurement whilst developing strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive the overall performance and continuous improvement of procurement activities across our business.
The Role We are looking for a Procurement Contracts and Sourcing Lead with an excellent work ethic and stakeholder management skills to lead our Procurement Contracts Team.
The Procurement Contracts Team undertakes contract and procurement activities for various goods and services within the business.
Reporting to the Head of Maintenance Support, the Procurement Contracts and Sourcing Lead must effectively manage a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders and their respective needs.
They also identify opportunities within the business where advantageous procurement decisions can create value for the business.
As the Procurement Contracts and Sourcing Lead you will be responsible for: Development and implementation of Arc's procurement strategy.Maintenance and ownership of Arc's procurement policies and procedures ensuring they are in alignment with Arc's procurement strategy, legislative requirements including modern slavery law, parent company obligations, and any other identified requirements.Identifying opportunities within the business where advantageous procurement decisions can create value for the business, all the while mitigating procurement-related risks (e.g.
legal exposure, price and market fluctuations, material shortages, etc.
).Effectively managing a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders and their respective needs.Strategic sourcing activities.Identifying categories and executing the strategic sourcing strategy tailored for each category.Developing and implementing the Contract Management System.Rolling out the procurement maturity assessment roadmap.Ensuring all procurement activities carried out by Arc comply with strategy, policy and procedures.Acting as the primary contact for all Arc departments on supplier due diligence matters, including anti-bribery and corruption due diligence and modern slavery due diligence on new and existing suppliers.Undertaking reporting to the relevant committees regarding due diligence and sustainability for all procurement activities, ensuring any non-compliances are reported through the relevant channels.Being the SME within Arc on appropriate levels of due diligence to be undertaken on each supplier based on risk profile, Arc's requirements, prevailing market conditions, guided by Arc's Procurement Strategy.Collaboration with Arc's Legal Team to ensure the suite of standard procurement contracts templates align with the procurement strategy whilst meeting Arc's legal contracting standard.Building and maintaining relationships with Arc's business units to develop supplier relationships and agreements that deliver optimal terms, pricing, and performance.Leading the continuous improvement of the Procurement Contracts Team through:identification and implementation of initiatives that improve the procurement process;identification and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives;ensuring cross-area issues are identified and managed effectively; andbuilding the awareness, knowledge and understanding of Arc's procurement strategy, policy and procedures throughout the business;developing, supporting, training and mentoring Procurement and Contracts Specialists and Officers.About You To be successful in this role we'd like you to have: Demonstrated ability to collaborate at an advanced level across an organisation by building and developing relationships based on trust, integrity, and credibility.Advanced commercial and business acumen with a demonstrated ability to negotiate favourable outcomes.Advanced communication and negotiation skills, particularly commercial contract negotiation skills.Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Sound understanding of procurement and sourcing strategies.Degree in business or commerce essential.Working at Arc Infrastructure Working with us means working in a team environment where each person and team is valued for the diverse skills, ideas and experiences they bring.
