Procurement/Contract and Vendor ManagersRole Overview:The IT Contract and Vendor Management team within the Technology and Security Division of a federal agency is seeking a skilled Procurement/Contract and Vendor Manager to drive vendor sourcing and management for key IT projects. This role will focus on building strong relationships with vendors, consulting on sourcing requirements, and collaborating closely with the Procurement team.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party IT vendorsWork with technical teams to source appropriate vendors for various projectsProvide expertise on procurement and sourcing strategiesOversee contract negotiations, renewals, and financial management of vendor resourcesMonitor industry trends and research new vendor opportunitiesCollaborate effectively with the ABS Procurement team to ensure successful project completionKey Skills and Qualifications:
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skillsExpertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and financial oversightKnowledge of Government Procurement practices and IT licensingStrong critical thinking and project/risk management abilitiesHigh-level proficiency in IT technologies and toolsProficient in Excel and capable of multi-tasking across various vendors and contractsSelf-starter with the ability to work independentlyThis role is a 12 month Non-Ongoing contract with a potential for extension.
