Roper Gulf Regional Councilis located in the southeast of the top end of the Northern Territory bounded by the southern Kakadu escarpments, the northern Barkly Tablelands, the Gulf of Carpentaria, and the Queensland border. The Councils area spans 201,000 square kilometres – almost three times the size of Tasmania – making Council's operational footprint one of the largest in the Northern Territory.
About the Opportunity Roper Gulf Regional Council is seeking highly motivated, experienced individuals in to join our team as a Procurement Compliance Coordinator.
The Procurement Compliance Coordinator provides close scrutiny of Council's procurement activities to ensure the strict compliance with policy requirements, applicable directives, rules and protocols, documentary evidence thereof.
The Procurement Compliance Coordinator ensures that Council's procurement activities are compliant with applicable requirements by way of active and passive compliance activities including but not limited to providing guidance and training to staff, the development, review, and maintenance of procurement activity documentation, and the ongoing review of group and individual procurement activity across Council.

To be successful in this role, you will have: Qualifications in field of Business or Public (Government) Administration (or equivalent) at Certificate IV level or higher. Proficient computer skills including a high-level user experience with Microsoft Office and previous use of a records management database; Demonstrated ability to work within a legislative framework with strict compliance requirements, interpret legislation, ministerial guidelines, policy and processes; Highly developed time management and planning skills - ability to establish priorities and to plan, coordinate and monitor own workloads; Demonstrated ability to interpret written communication for the purposes of procurement compliance as applicable to a public body. By taking this exciting opportunity, you will be rewarded with anattractive salary rangingfrom $83,725.18 to $92,084.54 per annum (negotiated based on qualifications and experience)plus Superannuation.
