About the Role Our Procurement team is expanding and we're looking for a Procurement Commercial Manager to join our vast community of solvers. The Procurement team brings our purpose to life by being supplier engagement role models for the firm through strategic and agile procurement. We live our purpose and values, leveraging our differences and expertise when it comes to developing and implementing sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management programs, and driving supplier governance and reporting activities. We identify, mitigate, and escalate commercial risks and align with the firm's social impact goals.
You'll help solve complex problems by using your skills in:
Commercial management, from strategy development to executionIndependently managing complex procurement projectsSignificant business, commercial and financial acumenLeading successful commercial negotiations, with evidence of applied innovative thinking, persuasiveness and negotiating skills, and strategic negotiation planningCross-functional stakeholder management skills at a senior level with experience in rapidly building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholdersManaging commercial procurement processes to drive outcomes for customers and stakeholders. A customer and employee perspective is essential.In our Procurement team, your impact will be seen by:
Managing and delivering outcomes for the respective category responsibilitiesConducting detailed contract reviews and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standardsDriving and supporting transformation within the procurement commercial team to support future business growthPerforming Excel analysis to support data-driven strategy, decision-making and reportingSupporting the business with an increasing spend portfolio of approx. $500m across functional business categories including IT, Professional Services and other business servicesCommunicating strategies and recommendations to senior leaders within the business and developing and delivering compelling PowerPoint presentations tailored for executive audiencesDelivering against key measures including savings targets and Environmental, Social and Governance ("ESG") goals with a focus on addressing NetZero and our Reconciliation Action Plan objectivesDeveloping and maintaining key internal relationships to ensure category planning appropriately addresses the businesses requirements.Providing leading practice procurement advice to the businessManaging the end-to-end procurement sourcing process for key internal clients including market analysis, RFx, Balance of Trade and supplier management where required and negotiating with suppliers throughout the procurement lifecycleDeveloping and maintaining key supplier relationships ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)Establishing supply agreements utilising best practice strategic sourcing principles to ensure the organisation leverages its overall purchasing power.More About You Experience in working effectively within a matrix style organisation including at global levelProactively takes ownership and acts with integrity to deliver required resultsOutstanding cross-functional stakeholder management, working across organisational structuresInnovative thinking and a broad knowledge and commercial aptitude to contribute ideas on all aspects of the organisation with the gravitas to influence at the most senior levelsDemonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas simply and to all levels and audiences within the businessExceptional presentation skills with experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders.A passion for their team, evidence of supportive behaviour towards team members and to help them deliver extraordinary resultsA pragmatic, approachable and supportive engagement style; proven ability to work with senior leaders to meet agreed outcomesAcademic / professional qualifications Recognised tertiary qualification(s) in a finance, business or commercial disciplineKey Relationships – Internal Procurement DirectorHead of Commercial (procurement)Head of Risk and Operations (procurement)Head of Transformation (procurement)Leadership Teams of Enabling Functions and Lines of ServiceProcurement Risk and Operations teamTransformation teamsFunctional teamsProgram Sponsors, Steering Committees and Working GroupsFinance DirectorsKey Relationships – External Strategic partnersSuppliersExternal thought leadersAbout PwC At PwC, we are a human-led, tech-powered community of solvers.
