Joining our Bankwest Procurement Team will see you working closely with Bankwest Technology and Commonwealth Bank Technology to ensure that all procurement and partnerships receive our world-class end-to-end delivery experience. At Bankwest, we take risk and regulation seriously. It is our priority to protect what matters most to our customers. All our procurement and partnership activities are delivered within the Bank's risk appetite.

Your Role: Lead and support the proactive review, renewal, and monitoring of all existing and new contracts (Technology and Non-Technology). Work closely with Bankwest business owners to understand service demands and constraints for the current contract portfolio as well as new projects and strategic initiatives. Coordinate the acquisition of goods, materials, and services for the organization. Prepare complex purchasing assignments requiring vendor selection and pricing comparisons. Negotiate with vendors to obtain optimum quality, cost, terms, etc. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers. Ensure that the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) concept and approach is embedded across all procurement activities. Manage and monitor compliance with internal policies and procedures in relation to the Bank's procurement and purchasing processes and provide clear advice on supplier and contract governance. Work closely with business owners and subject matter experts throughout the organization, such as legal, risk, privacy, cyber, etc., in the development of contracts. Identify and seek value-added opportunities and cost savings in the procurement process. Lead a small team of category managers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful procurement initiatives. Spearhead initiatives enabling Bankwest to become Australia's leading digital bank. We're interested in hearing from people who have: Minimum of 5 years' experience within a procurement/contract environment, with a primary focus on technology contracts and initiatives. A strategic ability to negotiate contracts and identify opportunities for business development. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a natural ability to liaise with vendors and key business stakeholders and executives. Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Proactive nature and high level of initiative.
