The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Procurement Category Specialist to be responsible for supporting the business with the efficient delivery of effective procurement, logistics, contract management, and fleet activities for external goods & services.

This is a key role within the Strategic Procurement Team supporting strategic procurement business partners and Commercial Managers with the delivery of commercial activities such as market engagements, development of category plans and business cases, performance management of suppliers, and opportunities for innovation.

Key Responsibilities Diagnose business needs, and design, develop and execute effective sourcing strategies.Conduct opportunity assessments and develop business cases – including gathering data from reporting sources.Gather key data for negotiations with suppliers.Manage categories and demand.Oversee supplier management.Conduct reviews and prepare contracts.
