The opportunity The Procurement Category Officer will play a key role in building and maintaining meaningful business partnerships that support our focus on innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to source products and services that directly contribute to the smooth operation of our sites, all while maintaining our high standards of quality and service.
Your work will involve developing strong relationships with stakeholders across all locations, ensuring a seamless and efficient supply chain that keeps costs down without compromising on the value we provide.
A major part of your responsibility will be creating and implementing a preferred supplier process, enabling Warrigal to leverage its buying power and deliver benefits to all sites and customers. Working closely with our team, you'll help build product ranges that not only meet but fulfill the needs of our community, ensuring we provide outstanding service and support at every turn.
The benefits | Recognising your value Hourly rate – $40.53 + packaging benefits + superNot For Profit salary packaging benefits – pay up to $18,550 less tax per year, meaning more money for youBrand new Office in 2025, career break schemes, additional purchased leave and moreCommitment to on-going professional and career development opportunitiesSubsidised access to your local gym and 200+ more across the country with a Fitness Passport24/7 access to mental, physical, social and financial support via the LifeWorks appThe requirements | What it takes to do this work Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Buying, or Purchasing.Excellent negotiation, analytical & problem-solving skills.Proven experience in managing procurement processes in accordance with strict ethical and probity standards.A well-established network of industry contacts (Desirable)Track record of delivering procurement projects within budget and on schedule.Strong background in managing relationships with key stakeholders.Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a high degree of self-awareness and effective communication.Ability to offer expert guidance to managers and staff on procurement policies and processes.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.Capability to conduct research, analyse data, provide recommendations, and prepare reports and presentations within tight deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).Valid NSW driver's license.What our people love about working here: A supportive, passionate culture: It's a community filled with inspiring, big-hearted people.
