About the role The Procurement Category Analyst will be responsible for delivering high-quality business analysis, contract analysis and reporting, and guidance to the Procurement function and associated stakeholders at AGL.
You will be part of the Procurement team with the aim to develop high quality and accurate contract analysis and documentation.
This role will also extract data from multiple sources, interrogating and filtering the data with the aim to provide insights and feedback to Category Managers where data sets are misaligned.

This will be a 12 month max-term contract, full-time. What you'll be doing Source data from multiple systems including SAP Ariba & hard contracts. Framing and ordering data to correlate intersections within and across contracts with the aim to provide insights to Procurement Category Managers on key areas of focus with respect to contract data. Support the management of SAP agreements and material information, enhancing data accuracy and transaction efficiency. Analysing, cataloguing and updating contracts in SAP to ensure alignment of contract attributes with executed contracts for consistency and alignment with the broader Category plans and key procurement initiatives. Develop understandings around key partnership arrangements including rates, margins and KPI mechanisms. Develop and maintain reports utilising data visualisation tools (Power BI). Work with the Procurement Governance & Reporting team to align reports to existing Procurement reporting framework. Assist with the coordination of key administration tasks in nominated procurement and property systems. Provide analysis and insights to support various Procurement team initiatives. Partner with key stakeholders and teams across the Procurement value chain to build out meaningful insights based on metrics reported. Build and develop strong relationships with the Procurement team to ensure alignment with methodology in how value delivery is captured and minimise risk to the organisation through forward contract expiry planning. Contribute to the review and development of improved processes and disciplines for Procurement. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal customers, peers and external partners. Contributing to achievement of targets across the overall Procurement contracts and contract dashboards. What you'll bring to the table Tertiary qualifications associated with Finance/Finance Systems, Procurement, Business or Commerce is preferred. 2-4 years' experience in a data analytics role, preferable with experience in providing analytical support for Procurement modelling and insights. Strong Interpersonal and communication skills (including written and presentation skills) are critical. Demonstrated capability to collaborate with and engage stakeholders to improve process efficiency, achieve team KPIs and work to timelines. Strong skills in the use of Excel, Power BI and related analysis tools for effective data analysis, interpretation and presentation. Strong experience working with SAP Ariba and the Ariba contract module to interrogate contract attributes and make changes to contract repository structure as required. Experience in understanding basic contract constructs focusing on commercial framework, contract term and term options and Key Performance Indicators.
