MAYDAY Recruitment are exciting to be partnering with a leading Australian organisation who are searching for a standout Procurement Assurance Lead who will work across the procurement and contract management functions and provide escalation, tools, reporting and strategic sourcing advice to the wider business. This role has a transformational remit to deliver improved processes, systems and capability to enhance the ability to procure in a VUCA environment.

The role:
-Directly manage a procurement analyst to deliver enhanced reporting, processes and systems and indirectly support and coach a team of multiple disciplined specialists providing procurement advisory services
-Develop and deliver an annual plan addressing the transformational strategies, goals, activities, resources and targets of the Procurement Assurance team
-Build and deliver a capability program that enhances customers knowledge, understanding and ability to procure/seek value for money and manage risk appropriately
-Liaise with the Data and Technology team to deliver an IT road map of process and system maturity for the procurement and contracts management function
-Deliver assurance checks to ensure governance is maintained, early identification of issues and rectification
-Manage effective relationships with the Procurement Team, ensuring alignment of initiatives to deliver uplift and improvements enabling the broader team to focus on their core functions, delivering best for business outcomes
-Oversee all transformation, improvement and innovation initiatives managed by the Procurement Assurance team
-Provide accurate and timely reporting to the Director Procurement and Commercial Services and other senior members of the organisation on key performance indicators, transformational progress and assurance activities.
The ideal candidate:
-Degree qualification in Supply, Procurement, Business, Law or similar discipline within a commercial field or MCIPS accreditation or a lesser qualification coupled with demonstrated leadership experience, within a procurement and supply function
-Minimum 10 years as a procurement lead
-Experience in developing processes, implementation of systems and assurance frameworks and reporting
-Demonstrated initiative in your previous experience, with substantial experience in influencing and leading various stakeholders and an ability to thrive in a growing/transforming environment.
-A strategic procurement approach and a customer-focus with a vast knowledge of, and experience with procurement assurance related activities, including maintaining a suite of support tools, process development, innovation and procurement systems knowledge and implementation
-Experience in project management planning and execution in a procurement and system implementation environment
-Strong people leadership and procurement capability uplift experience
