Procurement Assistant

Job Summary This role is a remote position. The successful candidate will work from home but must be available to attend fortnightly/monthly in-person team meetings. The Procurement Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the procurement team by managing purchasing activities and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have procurement experience and possess a solid understanding of supply chain logistics.
Duties Liaise with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and supplier interactions.Collaborate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs and ensure timely fulfilment.Monitor inventory levels and assist in site stock management to prevent shortages.Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.Support the implementation of procurement strategies that align with organisational goals.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the procurement process.Skills Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with suppliers and secure favourable terms.Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.Familiarity with supply chain processes and logistics management.Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in purchasing documentation and records.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.Strong analytical skills for evaluating supplier performance and market trends.This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their career in procurement within a dynamic organisation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £32,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
