Procurement and Contracts Officer Public Sector People have partnered with a local government organisation in their search for a Procurement and Contracts Officer.
This role is a 12-15 month contract and you will be required to work 3 days per week.
POSITION PURPOSE The primary purpose of the position is to provide high-level management support to the centre-led procurement function of Council. The position will be responsible for the overall coordination of supply chain and procurement systems including data input, maintenance of data, and verification and reporting of data output. The position will also support the Procurement Business Partners by maintaining procurement documentation through coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
System Coordination Supplier Relationship Management Contract Management Procurement Business Partner Support Procurement Risk Management SELECTION CRITERIA Essential Availability to work Monday to Wednesday and to flex up when required. Experience of procurement within Local Government. Class C Driver's Licence. Demonstrated understanding of Local Government procurement legislation and policies. Demonstrated knowledge in public tendering and contract development. Demonstrated high level of computer literacy. Demonstrated analytical, planning, and organisational skills. Desirable Qualification in procurement or administration. Vendor Panel system coordination/management. TechnologyOne/OneCouncil system coordination/management.
