Procurement And Contracting Officer

The RoleThe AIR3503 APS6 Contracting and Procurement Officer is accountable to undertake complex procurement and contracting activities. You will exercise a degree of independence and perform a senior role with procurement processes. You will help with the development, implementation, compliance and review of procurement actions along with policies and procedures relevant to their work within that function. You will use your experience to analyse, plan, review and adjust priorities. You will undertake objective, systematic analysis and draw accurate conclusions based on evidence along with detailed commercial and technical advice in relation to complex contracting issues.This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.
