Description: Our client is seeking experienced Procurement and Contract Management Specialists to support their Procurement & Contracts Team within the Security Portfolio, Infrastructure, and Business Services Branch.
The role will involve procurement and contract management tasks in compliance with departmental and Australian Government procurement policies.
Responsibilities: Monitor and manage procurement activities, providing advice on basic to complex procurements.Prepare procurement approval documentation, including market approach approvals, evaluation outcomes, and funding commitments.Administer tender documentation using AusTender and DTA systems.Deliver customer service to internal clients, ensuring proactive engagement and feedback collection.Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and suppliers.Manage contract issues, disputes, variations, and negotiations.Oversee contract renewals, extensions, closeouts, and problem-solving.Draft and manage Government contracts, including Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).Provide policy advice on compliance with legislation, rules, and policies.Develop and implement communications strategies for structural and business changes.Manage risks, issues, corporate documents, and mailboxes.Offer support and advice to improve procurement efficiency and outcomes.Requirements: At least four years of government procurement experience.In-depth knowledge of the PGPA Act for complex procurements.Experience managing complex contracts with CCS knowledge.Proficiency in public sector procurement oversight.Strong analytical skills for procurement planning.Familiarity with tender evaluation reporting.Expertise in contract administration and monitoring contract management plans.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently or collaboratively.Key Capabilities: Stakeholder engagement and management skills.Proficiency in policy and compliance advisory roles.Problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.Team collaboration and independent work proficiency.Essential Criteria: Minimum four years of experience in government procurement.Comprehensive understanding of the PGPA Act for complex procurements.Proven track record in complex contract management.Ability to analyse suppliers, markets, products, and service categories.Proficiency in tender evaluation and reporting.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Capability to work effectively in a team or independently.#J-18808-Ljbffr
