Visit our website or Youtube channel to learn more. The RoleThe Procurement & Category Manager reports to the Head of Procurement and sits in our Commercial & Digital team.  Some of the things you'll work on include: Oversee and inform the development of strategic category management plans across TasWater. Promote innovation across all sourcing categories, exploring new products, technologies, and approaches that can enhance business outcomes. Oversee and manage the procurement processes and develop cost savings programs to contribute towards TasWater's strategic and financial objectives. Develop and maintain focused sourcing strategies by identifying opportunities, defining current processes, designing new process, identifying benchmarks, metrics and making recommendations for improvements. Undertake the role of subject matter expert and educate leaders across TasWater on strategic procurement and category management plan, including relevant market and supply analysis and predictions. Role model the TasWater Values and Behaviours while proactively working to develop a positive culture in a team of 8 direct reports. Key AccountabilitiesThere are transferable skills that can lead to success in this role so even if you don't think you're the perfect fit, we still want you to apply. Extensive knowledge and experience working with P2P and S2C processes, commodities and supply chain management. Experience leading a team and building a high performing culture. Knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying contract management principles. Strong Negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships. Experience in developing new systems and procedures to facilitate the implementation of strategic procurement initiatives.  Why TasWaterAcross our multi-disciplinary organisation, we are serious about enhancing the skills and careers of our team members.
