This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to progress in the world of Procurement, assisting the Indirect Procurement team and ultimately, when the time is right, to have the procurement responsibility for MRO category; working closely with the UK&I Procurement Category Manager for FM & MRO.
What are the expectations of the role?
The Buyer Analyst – Indirect Procurement will be accountable for supplying the UK&I Team with key management information and reports. They will provide administrative & analytical support to the UK&I Procurement Indirect Head, & the UK&I Procurement Category Manager – MRO.
What will be your key deliverables?
To prepare spend reports and provide analytical support as and when needed for the UK&I Indirect team.
Deliver pladis objectives in terms of cost, quality, sustainability, and innovation. Work closely with manufacturing sites, supply chain, and central technical partners to ensure the delivery of key material group projects.
First point of contact for MRO category, providing issue resolution support.
Develop a sourcing strategy for the MRO category.
Develop a pipeline of productivity ideas for all MRO categories over the next 3 – 5 years.
Lead the tender process for some MRO categories and assist the FM MRO category manager on larger tender activities.
Review new vendor requests and negotiate payment terms for Indirect categories.
Ensure procurement and other key business processes are adhered to.
Build strong working relationships with the UK&I Procurement team members as well as key stakeholders across the pladis business.
Collaborate closely with Procurement Finance to ensure that reported numbers are accurate.
What will this role achieve?
The role of the Procurement Analyst – Indirect Procurement is to provide timely and accurate reports to the buying team and to manage certain MRO categories and projects.
What do you need for this role?
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a real hunger and desire to truly 'Own It' and in so doing gain invaluable experience in working within a dynamic procurement function. The role requires a minimum level of travel; there may be occasions when the role holder will be required to visit UK sites or suppliers.
Crucial:
Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work across a wide partner and supplier base is essential.
Very strong project, analytical, quantitative, and organisational change capabilities.
Ability to deliver outstanding results.
Preferred:
Previous experience within Indirect Procurement.
Experience in MRO or Facilities Management.
Knowledge of SAP or a similar system is an advantage.
