About your new job
Reporting to the Procurement Manager your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
•Manage the current baseline expenditure profile within the procurement category.
•Preparation of all pre-tender and tender documentation in conjunction with key internal stakeholders.
•Document all procurement specifications and requirements.
•Assist in the evaluation of all tender responses or costing exercises
•Assist with the negotiations at all levels both internally and externally
•Managing the end-to-end process of a small number of categories
•Develop, maintain and advertise a preferred supplier register for all suppliers in each procurement category.
•Have a deep understanding and experience of the full purchase-to-pay process and assist in the development of new procedures, processes, and solutions
•Provide Support to turn business purchase requests into purchase orders
•Promoting the P2P process to all internal stakeholders and coaching them through the change where applicable.
•Complying with the group procurement policy and making recommendations for change where necessary
•Compliance to internal contract management register
•Maintain and report on a register of savings and other benefits derived from implementing the procurement category strategy.
About You
Ideally, you will have previous experience in Purchasing Administration and some understanding of Accounting & Finance principles:
•Ideally a background as a procurement specialist with primary accountability for tendering and contract management
•Experience in understanding baseline procurement expenditure and identifying key drivers
•Knowledge of the Purchase to Pay process and experience in challenging purchase requests
•Procurement/Business acumen combined with highly developed strategic and commercial skills
•Accurate analytical skills underpinned by well-developed strategic thinking
•Demonstrated commercial and relationship-building skills
•Strong negotiation and communications skills
•Intermediate Microsoft Office skills in all applications
•High level of accuracy and attention to detail
