We are seeking to appoint a Process Improvement Business Analyst to join our Digital team.
The successful candidate will have 3+ years' experience in a related business analyst role, with demonstrated ability to map and analyse processes, identify process improvements, as well as the ability to influence stakeholders and process owners to adopt new work practices.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Collating information from workshops and interviews.Reviewing processes and making recommendations on improvements to improve legal operations, including documentation of 'as is' and 'to be' process maps.
This includes identifying how various current and potential technology solutions could be leveraged to optimise efficiency.Reviewing options, conducting cost benefit / feasibility analysis, and writing business cases.Supporting project scoping, estimating, prioritisation, and negotiation of system functionalities.Creating business requirements documents and working with technology experts to translate into functional specifications.Providing analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and performing data interpretation.Conducting workshops and technology demonstrations to seek sign-off on business requirements, new processes and technology solutions.Transferring knowledge and learning to the legal team and other stakeholders.Participating in test planning and execution.Participating in business change planning and implementation.Participating in project team problem-solving and issue management.Delivering work to agreed standards within approved reasonable timeframe.Maintaining cyber security at all times.
Cultivating an awareness of security risks, staying informed of latest cyber threats, instilling best cybersecurity practices and taking practical steps to protect the firm and client from cyberattacks.Skills/Knowledge Financial analytical skills would be very well regarded.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to summarise information succinctly and draw out key conclusions.Well-honed problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues.Relationship management skills with ability to liaise with both internal and external people at all levels.Ability to think innovatively and drive continuous improvement across policy, process and systems.Track record in using tools to manipulate data accurately and precisely, including Excel, and process mapping tools such as Visio.An understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle and a proven ability to work with technology solutions professionals highly regarded.A proactive, results oriented, client service focus.Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.Proven track record of delivery in a complex stakeholder environment.Qualifications or knowledge of best practices in lean six sigma, project management, or change management would be well regarded.Our Firm and Culture Russell Kennedy is a commercial law firm with more than 320 people in Melbourne and Sydney.
