Opportunity to work through multiple sites across the nationScope to project manage in major internal CapEx projectsPeriodic increments and annual incentivesRole OverviewThe Process Engineer is tasked with supporting my client's business units by identifying and implementing process improvements, establishing preventative maintenance plans, spearheading automation efforts, managing capital projects, and providing expert engineering guidance across multiple sites across Australia.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational ExecutionOffer engineering assistance to support production and maintenance processes, ensuring optimal performance and safety.Contribute to the creation and submission of Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) for major projects, including design, contractor quotes, and business case preparation.Formulate a detailed five-year capital investment plan to reduce manual handling and improve efficiency via enhanced facility layout and automation.Design preventative maintenance schedules in collaboration with Business and National Operations Managers.Oversee large-scale capital projects and manage tank inspection programs at each facility.Process OptimizationExecute process enhancements to maximize equipment efficiency, boost productivity, and minimize manual handling.Lead projects focused on improving plant systems, such as mist elimination and machinery guarding.Analyze downtime reports to pinpoint and recommend strategies to minimize outages and enhance up time.Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for each site.Provide specialized engineering expertise to business managers, liaising with external agencies and regulatory bodies.Technical SupportDeliver specialized engineering support as needed across the business.Manage research and development (R&D) initiatives, including testing and documenting outcomes.Contract OversightNegotiate contracts with external parties and manage the completion of these agreements.Draft Technical Specifications and define Scope of Work for both capital and maintenance projects.Health, Safety, and Environmental CoordinationContribute to the business's health, safety, and operational initiatives by actively participating in relevant programs at each site.Skills & QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.Experience: 5+ years in mechanical/process engineering, preferably within a multi-site organization.Skills:Strong budgeting and project management skills.Deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles.Advanced report writing and data analysis capabilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Advanced negotiation abilities.Proven ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.High proficiency in computer software, particularly MS Office Suite.Salary & Work RightsAustralian Citizens and Permanent Residents only100K - 110K + Super + 30K Car Allowance + Annual bonus and incentives.Apply now or call Ahmad Saquib on 0428 751 *** for a further discussion regarding the role.
