About the role We are looking for a Process Engineer to join the balance of plant team to design and execute complex tests to provide input to product design.
This is a uniquely hands-on engineering role, where work starts at the P&ID development progressing to equipment build, operating the equipment and documenting the results and feeding the results back to the rest of the team.
This role offers the opportunity to be an early team member in a fast growth company at the forefront of the green hydrogen industry.
The role reports to the BOP Department Manager.
Role responsibilities Design and execute experiments to ensure the process meets the performance and reliability requirements;Interpret test results to provide the rest of the Hysata team feedback for product design;Supporting the R&D team on the operation, troubleshooting and improvement of cell/stack test equipment;Collaborate with team members to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues that arise;Be involved in data reviews to enable data driven learning;Provide input on SOPs and safety protocols for new and existing laboratory processes; andSupport the design activities for the large prototype and commercial electrolysers by working under the senior engineer's direction.What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering;Recent graduate or less than 3 years experience;Able to read and develop basic process design documentation including P&IDs, Cause and Effects Diagrams;Enjoy working in a laboratory setting and enjoy the hands-on engineering of building and operating small scale test equipment;Able to analyse data (Python, Matlab, or similar) and output succinct reports and presentations to the wider team;Motivated, capable of working independently within a multi-disciplinary environment;Ability to adapt within a highly dynamic, fast-paced work environment; andMotivation to learn and develop design skills, detailed knowledge of electrolyser cell operation and optimisation.What we offer Idyllic Beachside Location;Stock options;Salary Sacrifice into Superannuation;Flexible working conditions;Recognition of Service;Wellness Allowance;EAP through Sonder;Novated Leasing;Employee Discount Program through Flare; andAwesome work environment and team!If you don't tick every box in this ad, please don't rule yourself out just yet.
