Alchemy Recruitment is currently partnered with a world leader in mining who is seeking an experienced CHPP Process Engineer for a contract position based in the Mackay Coal Fields. The role will be reporting to the CHPP Superintendent, which includes delivery of production against targets through the provision of effective process engineering input into CHPP operations.
Additionally, the CHPP Process Engineer is a key member of the CHPP Leadership team and will assist in the leadership and mentoring of the CHPP Operational team.
Key Responsibilities: Support safety improvements across the CHPPs and the broader mine site.Work collaboratively within the CHPP team to deliver on all safety, quality, and productivity goals.Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the production teams.Oversight of the site CHPP Laboratory.Monitor and manage the metallurgical performance of Toll washing campaigns completed by the CHPP.Perform yield reconciliations against contractual process KPIs, including stockpile management.Perform studies for plant modification, component replacement, maintenance strategy change. The successful applicant must have the following: Relevant education with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mineral Processing, Chemical or Metallurgy).Minimum 3-5 years' experience in working in Coal Handling Preparation Plants.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a team environment.Flexible attitude and sound work ethic.Ability to achieve results and work within specified time frames.Sound understanding of workplace OH&S. This is a 3 month Contract position based in the Mackay Coal Fields starting in August, offering an attractive day rate, on an 8/6 roster and is open to residential or FIFO from Brisbane with camp accommodation, meals (hire car for FIFO arrangements only) provided.
