Process Engineer (or Process Engineering Coordinator)

We are seeking a dynamic Process Engineer to join our engineering team in Yatala. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will coordinate and deliver process engineering tasks and projects, including new designs, product changes and process improvements for attachments and machinery in the earthmoving industry. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to implement products from the design stage through to manufacture.
Key responsibilities will include:
Product Configurations & Customisation: Oversee the development and customisation of product configurations to meet customer requirements. Review production drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure their integration into the ERP system. Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to the sales and spare parts teams for product selection. Address customer inquiries and manage sales tools within the ERP system. Production Support: Supervise the creation and maintenance of programming for various manufacturing equipment. Assist with resolving production issues and implement improvements to optimise manufacturing processes. Manufacturing Insights: Collaborate with engineering and project teams to offer insights into production capabilities, material selection, and cost considerations. Coordinate prototyping processes. Project & Change Management: Contribute to cross-functional projects, including new product development and process improvements. Scope and manage changes to products and processes. Process Improvements: Conduct checks of engineering documentation for compliance with standards. Implement enhancements within the engineering department to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:
Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (Trade qualification with relevant experience will also be considered). Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Understanding of machine programming, experience welding and/or machining will be an advantage. Good understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical systems. Experience working in cross functional teams to deliver projects. Ability to scope and implement change Experience with CAD modelling and drafting (Autodesk Inventor & Vault) as well as 3D scanning. Effective communicator, highly organised with the ability to plan and manage tasks. Company

Whilst not essential a good understanding of skid steer machines, excavators, and attachments is desirable.
