About the team.
This position forms part of the Technical Services team within the Manufacturing function, reporting to the Technical Services Manager, and will work closely with the Ballarat Plant Leadership Team, as well as regional and global Technical Services teams.

This role is based in Ballarat Victoria and is a fixed term contract for up to 3 years.
Promote/improve H&S culture within all the Departments Provide technical direction and leading technical initiatives for McCain Ballarat plant Implement and sustain improvements made through Lean principles Design and develop efficient manufacturing processes Process and equipment capabilities checks Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods supporting capital projects by ensuring process design, quality, stakeholder collaboration, safety compliance, and managing commissioning, start-up and sustainability phases Evaluate, develop, improve and document the manufacturing and packing processes to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations Understand, comply and where necessary enforce, company policies and practices currently in place and any new policies/practices that are implemented Support capital projects, ensuring they meet critical success factors and use optimal technologies To guide and assist the Regional Plant Managers and Regional Technical Operations Manager with creating opportunities to reduce operational cost Leadership Principles.

About you.
Experience: Verifiable experience in Food Science, Engineering, Science, Process Engineering Ideally, the candidate will have experience in Manufacturing, Maintenance, R&D, Technical Operations or Packaging with supervisory experience.
This experience should be in a manufacturing packaging environment Sound knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Safety, Quality (HACCP, GMP), Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems including respective documentation Demonstrated ability to work on a variety of unconnected projects Keen knowledge of Statistical Process Control, lean principles and Six Sigma methodology Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification in Food Science, Engineering, Science, Process Engineering Skills: A results focus orientation, a logical thinker with good problem-solving skills.
an analytical/creative thinker and designer with proven cause/effect or fault analysis, troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude and reliability engineering.
