Job description: The objective of this position is to contribute to the timely disposal of probate matters coming before the Court by providing administrative and clerical support associated with the day-to-day operations of the Probate Registry.

Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties Provide assistance to the Probate Registry Supervisor in undertaking administrative and clerical functions associated with the day-to-day operations of the Probate Registry. Ensure the accurate and timely maintenance and entry of information into the probate database. Check that documentation submitted complies with legislative requirements.
With a focus on accuracy, prepare grants, issue invoices and receipts, undertake searches and attend to general correspondence and enquiries. Provide procedural advice to Probate Registry stakeholders, including Court legal officers, the Registrar, trustee companies, legal practitioners and their staff, applicants in person, genealogists, government agencies, members of the public, and Court staff. Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time, including: Act as an Associate to a Judge or Associate to the Associate Judge Provide assistance to the Criminal and Civil Registries Contribute to the achievement of team objectives by working in a small multi-skilled team. The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications, and experience normally expected from persons occupying jobs at this classification level.
