Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for your next opportunity? My client, a well-established organisation, is seeking a Payroll Officer to join their team on a part time basis (can be school hours, 3-4 days a week we are flexible on the individual).
This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong understanding of payroll systems and legislation.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and manage accurate, on-time payroll. Provide clear, accurate advice on payroll, taxation, and superannuation matters. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies for new hires and exiting staff. Oversee Workers Compensation claims and documentation. Ensure compliance with Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and Child Support Payment legislation. Implement internal controls to ensure payroll accuracy. Process and manage subcontractor records and payments, including verifying dockets against invoices. Act as the first point of contact at reception, including answering calls. About You: You'll be a motivated professional with:
At least 3 years of payroll accounting experience. Strong knowledge of payroll taxation legislation and relevant awards and agreements. Exceptional organisational and time-management skills. Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with payroll systems and computer software.
