The WhatAs aPrivate & Corporate Senior Travel Specialistyou will have a diverse and varied role. Here are just some of the things you'll be getting involved with:
Plan and sell a range of travel services, including air and ground transport, accommodation, insurance and other related travel services to allocated client accountsFully service all enquiries, requests, bookings, and ticketing to TAG standards, including documentation and assist more junior colleagues on more complex enquiriesEnsure all air, rail, hotel and/or other ancillary reservations meet company standards and client expectations and ensure client and booking files are maintained in relevant systemsFormulate logistical itinerary plans to deliver practical travel solutions, ensuring that budgets and specific client requirements are metHandle VIP travel to TAGs high standardDeal with any post-booking queries, rectifying any requested changes and efficiently process reissues where requiredEffectively manage any travel problems, changes or disruptions and assist with handling complaints or refundsNegotiate or utilise negotiated rates from suppliers to secure beneficial financial outcomes for TAGProcess administrative tasks including accounting queries from both the client and Finance department through to final reconciliation. Assess client credit levels, if applicable, and work in conjunction with the Finance department to ensure payments are receivedHave awareness of and successfully deliver profit and sales targets in relation to own client portfolio, continually looking for opportunities to maximise revenue and marginOperate in accordance with client service level agreements (SLAs) and TAG policies and standardsComplete all PNR's and files accurately and promptly, ensuring all QC points are met as standardDemonstrate excellent customer service and form strong client and supplier relationshipsAssist / mentor junior or less experienced members of the teamThe HowTo be successful at TAG is as much about mindset and attitude as it is about skill set and qualifications. We work flexibly to accommodate our TAG team colleagues, meaning on occasion there could be requirements outside of office hours to manage time zones and other work commitments. As a Private & Corporate Senior Travel Specialistthere are several credentials and attributes which would be advantageous, but a determined attitude and willingness to learn, are equally important.
Certificate, diploma or degree in tourism/travel or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience5+ years of relevant experience within a travel agencyGood knowledge and understanding of airfares, contracted fares, ticketing and reissuesGDS experience (Galileo preferred)Versed in booking flights, hotels and a good understanding of published airfaresExperience handling VIP, entertainment clients and/or group travelStrong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, and familiar with/ability to use TAG's travel systems including Travelport Galileo, Tramada NG, TAG Desktop and the relevant Online Booking Tool utilized by each client (Serko – Zeno, Locomote or Concur for Travel)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsWell established organisational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently or within a team environmentVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing environmentExcellent customer service and negotiation skillsProactive and self-starterProblem-solving and multi-tasking skills with ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and think outside of the boxStrong knowledge & understanding of fares, negotiated contracted fares, ticketing and reissueExcellent customer service skills internally and externallyThe Where and WhenThis is afull-time role (37.5 hours per week)based in ourSydneyoffice. Since March 2020, we have operated a flexible, hybrid approach to working and will continue to do this moving forward. We will work with you to find the best mix of office and home working that suits your life and the needs of the team.
You will report into thePrivate Travel Manager, who is based inSydney. There are other regional teams based inSingapore, UK and the USthat you may work closely with, too.
