Parnalls Solicitors Ltd. are seeking an experienced PRIVATE CLIENT SOLICITOR to join our very established law firm based in Launceston. You will be an excellent communicator, active in building and developing client relationships as well as managing a busy and varied caseload which will include all aspects of Wills and Inheritance Tax planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Court of Protection and Deputyships and also some Estate Administration. Experience in Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief claims would be desirable as we have a large agricultural client base.This is a full-time role based in our Launceston office. The hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.Responsibilities will include:Taking a client's instructionsAdvising a client on the law and legal issues relating to their caseDrafting documents and letters tailored to the client's individual needsNegotiating with clients and other professionals to secure agreed objectivesSupervising the implementation of agreementsCoordinating the work of all parties involvedSupervising and delegating work to trainee solicitors and assistants as appropriateChecking all documentation prior to signing and implementingKeeping up to date with changes and developments in the lawUndertaking a range of continuing professional development (CPD)Experience/SkillsPreferably experience of working in all areas of Private Client Law.Flexibility and ability to manage a busy caseload.A team player who can adapt priorities to meet tight deadlines.Drive and enthusiasm for the private client sectorStrong IT and Microsoft Office skillsA knowledge of the SOS document management system would be an advantageAbout YouThis position would suit an experienced Private Client Solicitor who is looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to progress their career with a forward thinking practice.
