On behalf of our client, we are seeking an ambitious Private Client Solicitor to join the Private Client team in their Launceston Office. The firm has clearly defined divisions catering for business and private clients, and their teams are able to offer the very best legal advice through a full range of legal services, across a wide range of areas and commercial sectors. Due to recent growth and expansion, their well-established and busy Private Client team is looking for a bright and motivated additional team member to provide a high quality, effective legal service as a member of the Private Client Department.
Primarily, you will provide an efficient, effective, and complete legal service ensuring client satisfaction at all times; seeking support and advice from other members of the team whenever necessary.
You will have expertise and experience in the area of private client law, including all aspects of Probate and Power of Attorney matters. You will be aware of current issues and updates. Ideally, our client is seeking an individual with a minimum of 2 years PQE or to have carried a full caseload for a minimum of 3 years. ACTAPS and/or STEP membership is welcomed but not essential.
The successful applicant must be able to work effectively within a team. Task assignment amongst the team is constant to ensure the matter is undertaken in the most cost-effective manner possible.
You will need to possess the willingness to promote the firm and develop personal connections; to market the services of the department internally to the rest of the firm and externally as a whole. Experience in marketing and practice development would be welcomed.
You will be professional, organised, competent, enthusiastic, and ambitious. To work with other fee earners and seek advice and assistance whenever needed to develop knowledge and skills, and to improve ability. Ensure that all courses booked are attended, including any management courses provided to develop personal skills.
The firm will require the applicant to have access to their own transport for work use for the purposes of home visits and inter-office travel on occasion.
You will also need to be IT literate and be able to use a case management system.
