About the OpportunityAPS4 Privacy Officer, Legal Services team, 12-month contract with a strong possibility of renewal. This full-time position offers a flexible, hybrid work environment, ensuring a great work-life balance. The role is based in Richmond or Geelong and some in-office time is required. Only Australian Citizens are eligible to apply.
About the TeamLegal Services provide practical and solution focused advice across a broad spectrum of corporate, commercial, administrative, and government legal issues to support business areas. The team provides a single point of contact to the Agency for legal matters and plays a key enabling function including the identification and mitigation of legal risk for the Agency.
About the RoleThis role involves managing privacy complaints and incidents, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, staying updated on relevant legislation, and supporting the implementation of new tools and processes within the Privacy team. Key responsibilities include fostering strong working relationships, undertaking ad-hoc projects, and building team expertise while upholding high professional standards. Success in this role requires attention to detail, effective communication, ICT competency, and the ability to adapt quickly within a team environment, with a knowledge of the Privacy Act considered advantageous.
Key Responsibilities Managing and resolving privacy complaints and incidents promptly, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.Ensuring accurate and comprehensive recordkeeping and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of pertinent legislation, policies, and procedures.Undertaking ad-hoc projects and supporting the implementation of new systems, processes, and tools within the Privacy team.Fostering strong relationships and knowledge sharing with clients and stakeholders, while building expertise within the team and upholding professional and ethical standards.RequirementsExceptional organisational skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProficiency with ICT systemsInterested?
