Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a Privacy Officer to join their busy team for a casual 6-month temporary assignment.About the RoleAs a Privacy Officer, you will be required to provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in privacy areas and may undertake some research and analysis activities. In addition, your key duties are as follows:Remediate a range of privacy complaints and incidents in a timely manner.Ensure accurate recordkeeping.Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.Undertake projects on an ad-hoc basis.Maintain excellent working relationships with clients and other internal and external stakeholders.Support the implementation of new systems, processes and practical tools within the Privacy team.Build capability and expertise within the team, sharing knowledge and awareness across the Agency and working in accordance with the highest professional and ethical standards.About YouTo be successful in this role, you must have:Proven experience in a privacy, legal, paralegal, administration, or any similar role that demonstrated strong knowledge or understanding of the Privacy Act.High attention to detail and good recordkeeping.Strong competency with ICT systems.Outstanding communication skills.Ability to work within the team and adapt quickly to a changing environment.Good time management.BenefitsASAP Start Date pending clearance.Casual 6-month Temporary Assignment.Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.$43.82 per hour + super.Multiple locations Available:Geelong VICMelbourne VICBrisbane, QLDAdelaide, SASydney, NSWDeakin, ACT*** Please note the successful candidate for the role must hold Australian Citizenship and be willing to complete a federal police check. ***At Chandler Macleod, we are committed to fostering a diverse workforce where everyone is welcome.
