About the Role
Develop and implement leading enterprise privacy compliance frameworks.
Full Time Permanent | Melbourne or Sydney based offering hybrid work.
The Manager Privacy Compliance is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of leading enterprise privacy compliance frameworks and providing high quality privacy advice to the AGL business. You will engage and develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise, whilst influencing and assisting the business to integrate best practice approaches to governance, risk and compliance management.

What you'll be doing:
Reporting to the Group Compliance & Privacy Officer, you will:
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of AGL's Privacy Policy, frameworks, standards, and practices to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
Assist business units in effectively integrating AGL's Privacy framework and practices into their operations, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
Monitor and ensure adherence to AGL's Privacy Policy, framework, and standards, identifying areas for improvement or corrective actions where necessary.
Proactively engage with business stakeholders to advise on the secure storage, sharing, and handling of data, ensuring privacy risks are managed effectively.
Conduct or participate in privacy impact assessments with business stakeholders to ensure privacy risks are thoroughly evaluated, and appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented.
Provide expert guidance and timely advice to business units regarding the management of privacy-related risks and incidents, including the implementation of incident management protocols.
Collaborate with AGL's technology teams to enhance Data and Information Governance Frameworks, ensuring privacy and security considerations are embedded in technology solutions.
Lead the development and execution of privacy compliance training, awareness programs, and incident management protocols, including notifiable data breach processes and reporting to regulators.
About You
What you'll bring to the table
Extensive experience in the practical application and development of Privacy compliance frameworks and practices in large, complex organisations.
Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management, assurance, privacy, data and related legislation.
Experience working with and presenting to all levels of an organisation, including the Executive level.
Excellent presentation, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to deliver, drive positive outcomes, and bring about change within a large, diverse organisation.
Energy experience or exposure to highly regulated environment would be highly regarded.
