This role is essential in providing strategic privacy risk management advice, fostering a culture of privacy awareness, and supporting the integration of privacy considerations into business processes and projects.Additionally, the Privacy Advisor will play a key role in enhancing the organisation's privacy program by developing and delivering training, maintaining accurate records of data processing activities, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. We empower our teams to be student focused, innovative and embrace change with a growth mindset to ensure we achieve our vision of being the world's most impactful enabler of education.About YouTo be successful in this role you will have:Demonstrable experience within a privacy or compliance advisory role.Degree qualification or industry recognised privacy certifications (e.g. CIPM, CIPP, CIPT etc.) highly regarded.Knowledge of the common law and any relevant legislation as it relates to privacy and general compliance related activities in Australia.Knowledge of EU General Data Protection Regulation and UK Data Protection Act 2018 would be highly regarded.Ability to understand privacy and compliance risks inherent or emerging in a business area, to assess the level of risk, and to develop and execute plans to mitigate risk.Knowledge of privacy regulations, standards, policies and frameworks.Good report writing, presentation and verbal communication skills.Ability to think, plan and act strategically and commercially.What's in it for you?Along with joining a passionate, energetic and highly skilled team, this role will allow you to gain exposure to many growth and development opportunities.
