You will be supported on the job by experienced staff and management, as part of the team working to keep the WA community safe.
We are currently seeking Prison Officers for facilities in the Perth Metropolitan area, Eastern Goldfields (Kalgoorlie), Greenough (Geraldton) and West Kimberley (Derby).
As a Prison Officer, you will interact with minimum to maximum security prisoners on a 24/7 roster system.
Prison Officers are responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient operation of prisons and effective management of prisoners.
You can make a real difference by modelling positive behaviours and motivating prisoners to gain skills and knowledge to re-enter the community, to reduce the risk of re-offending.
