My client is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy firm dedicated to providing sustainable solutions for their clients. They are currently seeking a Principal Ecologist or Zoologist based in Perth, Australia. They strongly value the talent their employees bring and are dedicated in supporting their innovative ideas. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage ecological assessments, surveys, and impact assessments. Provide expert advice on ecological matters to clients and internal teams. Undertake fieldwork, data collection, and analysis to support ecological studies. Develop and implement biodiversity conservation plans and strategies. Manage and mentor junior ecologists within the team. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate ecological considerations into projects. Stay updated on relevant environmental regulations and industry best practices. Prepare high-quality reports and documentation for regulatory submissions. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 12 years of experience in ecological consulting, with a proven track record of project management. Strong knowledge of local flora and fauna, ecosystems, and relevant legislation. Experience in conducting ecological impact assessments and developing mitigation strategies. Proven ability to lead and manage a team of ecologists. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated proficiency in relevant software for data analysis and mapping.
